After the LE, things went pretty fast. The 2.0 20v Turbo received a 6-speed 'box, and a big satin gloss push starter button. Two add-ons the 20v Turbo buyers appreciated a lot. The sides of the Turbo got painted in body colour.
Some more research went into the 20v and engineers squeezed an extra 7 bhp out of the engine, meaning an increased topspeed: 215 km/hour (135 miles per hour) as opposed to 212 km/h (132 miles per hour) and 8.4 seconds instead of 8.9 to 100 km (62 miles).
But even more, the Plus arrived on the scene again. It received the LE bodykit, gearbox, strut brace and cylinder head, a new look front grille, new 8-spoke wheels and a variety of other things: red stiched trim, Recaro seats, light silver meter backgrounds, satin gloss starter button, a net and hooks in the boot,...

The only model still having the non-colour coded sides was the 1.8 16v. In that model, nothing was changed. You should realise many LE owners weren't happy at all with the arrival of the plus. General opinion was it would lower the value of the Limited Edition.
