:: A revisit

To be on the comfortable side we took the ferry from Oslo to Kiel. We also used the Coupé in place of the Spider. Germany was done in one day. With one night in Rosenheim, Italy was only the Brenner Pass away. The car, the roads and the weather were just great. We arrived at Regello in Toscana 15 minutes before schedule.

The Coupés first main inspection was not far away. I wouldn't have dreamed that this should take place in the cars birthplace. But so it happened. To everyone's greatest satisfaction.

Before leaving Norway, an appointment was done with a FIAT service center in Figline Valdarno (doesn't it sound great?). I had also requested another car for the day I expected the service to last. A car I was going to pay the rent for. This request was never confirmed. The Coupé had to be delivered at 0830 in the morning. Andrea Lapi, the chief mechanics, promised to have the car ready in the afternoon. When I asked for the rent-a-car, he gave me his own Punto and said: "Have fun. Return the Punto with about the same amount of fuel as it has now and it will cost you nothing". This was great. We took the Punto through the very twisting roads of Chianti for a breakfast in Greve.
